Although Rebecca Onion currently lives in Austin, Texas, she's originally from New Hampshire, and will live free 'till she dies.

When she left to go freelance in 2004, she was a staff writer, in charge of producing the health column, the college page, and the letters page, as well as various features. In 2004 she was a contributing editor to ym and a contributing writer to ELLEgirl.
