The Vault

I run The Vault, a history blog on Slate.com. Since November 2012, I have posted three to five times a week, offering archival items that are particularly funny, thought-provoking, sad, beautiful, or amazing. A typical Vault post features a large image of a letter, photograph, object, or film clip, paired with a bit of historical interpretation and context.

If you are interested in pitching an item or a post for The Vault, please use my contact form to get in touch. If you are a publisher looking to send me a galley, please email me for my mailing address.

I also run The Vault’s Twitter feed, where I share history content from around the Web, along with links to each new blog post.

Like The Vault on Facebook to keep up with the daily posts, or sign up for my newsletter to receive a weekly list.

I made this timeline displaying all of the Vault documents using Knightlab’s Timeline JS.
